Lisa Morris, the founder of Parent Child Educational Services (PCES), is a child development specialist, parent educator and educational consultant.
She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, elementary and special education from the American University and a master’s degree in clinical education and communication disorders from the Johns Hopkins University.
Lisa’s unique combination of information, insight, and empathy has enriched the lives of many families. She blends her training and knowledge with a pragmatic and supportive style to provide invaluable guidance, encouragement and positive outcomes.
Lisa has worked with children with a range of developmental and learning challenges. Her extensive experience of 25 years in school, community, and transdisciplinary settings can provide families with multi-dimensional support.
She co-authored Creative Play Activities for Children with Disabilities: a Resource Book for Teachers and Parents and is writing a new book, The Building Blocks to Early Learning and Development: A Resource Book for Parents and Educators.
Lisa provides Parent Child Educational Services based on her in-depth knowledge of child development, parent education, early childhood and special education and her genuine commitment to empowering families.

- Early Intervention Specialist and Parent Educator at Montgomery County Infant and Toddlers Program in Rockville, Maryland.
- Parent Educator, Transdisciplinary Early Intervention Specialist, and Facilitator of Parent -Toddler Class at Louise Whitbeck Fraser Community Services Infant-Toddler Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Program Coordinator at the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation in Washington, D.C., where she promoted a national family support program for children with disabilities and their families.
- Special Education Teacher for children 3 to 8 years of age at the Ivymount School in Rockville, Maryland.
- Educational Diagnostician, Pediatric Unit at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.
